Min far og vrede mand

Teater Zebu and Musikteatret Saum, Denmark: My father and angry man

My father and angry man is a poetic and marvelous children’s opera with live music, about something as difficult as a violent family situation.
7 year old Boy is the narrator. He tells about Father, who smiles like apples on the table and about Mother who laughs in her best dress, like a present with a bow, but also about Angry Man who lives inside Father. And when Angry Man breaks out, he yells and throws things so that they break, and we have to hide as quickly as possible.

Therefore Boy decides to write a letter to the king: ‘Dear King. Father is angry. Is it my fault?’

The show is inspired by the children’s book Angry Man (Sinna Mann) by the Norwegian author Gro Dahle.

Winner of the Best Opera award at YAMawards 2016 and nominated for a Reumert in the category of Best Children and Youth Performance 2016.
