Paradise is a life-affirming story about an undertaker.
He is just the way we imagine an undertaker: He does what undertakers do, he takes care of the dead, he washes them, fixes their hair, puts clean clothes on them, lays them in their coffins and closes the lid.
He has no wife.
He has no dog or cat, for the undertaker knows that animals do not live long. There is no point in having an animal.
But this is what we do NOT know about the undertaker: He talks to dead people! And those dead people talk about flowers and ladies fannies and German shepherd dogs and car ports and weather and all of the things they did not get around to.
And that idea of Paradise is just something the undertaker has invented to comfort a young girl who died too soon.
But maybe it is true….maybe there is a Paradise?
